World MS Day 2012 in Algeria
2012 Living with MS
Algeria celebrated World MS Day 2012 on 24 May. The event was hosted at Mustapha University Hospital in Algiers. The multiple sclerosis (MS) team from the Department of Neurology joined forces with the radiology and immunology departments to raise awareness. The day was an opportunity for neurologists, doctors and people living with MS to learn more about the disease.
Over 120 MS associates attended the event from organisations in Algiers, Setif and Sidi Bel Abbes. The day opened with talks on diagnosis and therapeutic management and included discussions on treatment management costs. The conference ended with a discussion about the need of specialised services for people living with MS.
