Canada illuminates MS

2012 Living with MS
The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada arranged for Niagara Falls and the CN Tower to be lit up with red lights to mark World MS Day this year. Red lights (red is the MS Society’s trademark colour) were beamed on the iconic landmarks to raise awareness of the day. This beautiful event was facilitated by; the Niagara Parks Commission, Niagara Falls Illumination Board and the CN Tower.

The spectacular show reached hundreds of people on the Canadian and American sides of the falls.

Canada has been promoting the MS Global Dinner Party for many years. This year a VIP dinner party was held at the Winnipeg Art Gallery. This event took place on World MS Day from 6-8pm. The evening featured live Caribbean music. Hot 103’s radio personality Ace Burpee hosted a fundraising auction and guests were guaranteed a 1 in 250 chance of winning a trip for two to Toronto for the Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival.
