MS doesn’t stop me living my life the way I want to
Steph, 27, UK
Being diagnosed with MS felt like a relief. Not knowing what was wrong was scary, but knowing my symptoms had a name was comforting. I felt lucky to have good support from Birmingham hospital and from my fiancé.
Fortunately, I can still do most of the daily things that I took for granted before MS, but it’s reassuring to know that my partner is able to help me when I need it. I’ve got a job, I’m doing a masters and I’m getting married, MS is in the background of my life at the moment. But no matter what the future brings, I don’t ever want to be the person who complains about their MS.
