Winners of the 2025 MS Heart Challenge

My MS Diagnosis Campaign

The MS Heart is a symbol of solidarity for everyone affected by MS. The MS Heart Challenge, invites World MS Day supporters to share photos of MS hearts somewhere special. This could be next to a national landmark, a favourite local spot or a significant event. The global MS community took on the challenge, and sent incredible photos from special locations. It was an amazing show of solidarity with hearts shared from 33 countries on the World MS Day map. Here are some of this year’s winning entries.

MS Society of India Delhi Chapter

The MS Society of India’s Delhi Chapter shared these vibrant MS Heart photos from the Lodi Art District in New Delhi. The background Mural is by Singaporean Artist Yip Yew Chong depicting a slice of everyday life in the busy streets of India.

MS Cafe Katwijk

The MS Cafe Katwijk meets every month at it’s local neighborhood cafe. It brings people with MS and their caregivers together from Bollenstreek in the Netherlands. We loved these MS heart photos from this special location.

Carmen from Canada

Carmen from Canada shared an MS Heart from a location close to her heart. The impressive building in the background is the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health at the University of British Columbia Vancouver. Carmen has been attending the clinic since her diagnosis in 2014 and feels well supported by the MS team there.

Fundación Sonora Vive con Esclerosis Múltiple, Mexico

The Fundación Sonora Vive con Esclerosis Múltiple shared MS Hearts from the city of Hermosill as they gathered together to mark World MS Day with festivities. They shared a simple, powerful message with their photo submission: ‘This is our happy place, where we find people who understand us and where we can share experiences.’

Michelle from the United States

These MS Hearts were shared from Michelle’s local gym! Michelle says ‘My gym buddies push me to be the best version of me whatever that is on any given day. A place where no matter what I am completely accepted.’ The smiles say it all!

Penang MS Support Group

As part of World MS Day 2025, the Penang MS Support Group in Malaysia held an event to celebrate their 16th anniversary. MS Hearts were shared in unison with people living with MS, family members and volunteers.

Hennie from the Netherlands

Hennie (right) shared an MS heart photo alongside her personal care assistant (left) in front of one of her paintings. Painting has become harder since Hennie’s diagnosis of Secondary Progressive MS but art is still her first love. Hennie says ‘I made the photo at this place because painting and art are still my first love. Unfortunately painting is becoming too hard for my arms and hands, therefore on good days, with the right mindset I prefer drawing.’

Asociación de pacientes con Esclerosis Múltiple (ALEM) in Colombia

ALEM members in Colombia got creative with green screen magic to share their MS Hearts remotely. Pictured here: Diana (left) in Copacabana, Antioquia; Berta (centre) in Barichara, Santander; and María Teresa (right) in Envigado, Antioquia. In total, members shared over 10 photos from special locations across the country!

Lithuanian MS Union, Lithuania

Members of the Lithuanian MS Union gathered with flowers to celebrate their community at the MS Therapy Center. As they beautifully put it: ‘This is our happy place at MS therapy center, which is modern, unique, and currently the only one in the Baltic States, where quality procedures are developed with community and mutual connections.’

Patricia from European Multiple Sclerosis Platform (EMSP)

Patricia and her colleague shared MS Hearts from the European Multiple Sclerosis Platform (EMSP) Annual Conference bringing people with MS together. We love to see it! ❤️

Arti from India

Arti an active World MS Day supporter from Hyderabad shared multiple MS Hearts from MSSI World MS Day events and even the Victoria Memorial landmark in Kolkata. Arti said she captures MS hearts to ‘help spread awareness and make a difference’. Thank you!

Cherubin Family in the United States

MS Hearts sent from the Cherubin family home with a simple message! ‘Home is where the ♥️ is! What a better way than to be snuggled in a nice cozy place sharing your heart with those you love.’ Very true!
