New World MS Day Theme

2020 MS Connections

The new theme for World MS Day 2027-2029 will be My MS Matters. The My MS Matters campaign will amplify the voices and experiences of people living with MS. It champions person-centred healthcare that responds to the needs of people with MS. Together, we will advocate for greater investment in MS healthcare and a future where everyone with MS can access the support that matters.

Campaign angles

My MS Matters is a flexible, wide-ranging campaign. Supporters can choose to focus on a variety of angles when taking part in World MS Day. The following campaign angles may align with your own goals and interests, or highlight particular areas of work within your organisation.

Whether you are living with MS, working in healthcare, supporting research or advocating for change, there is a place for you in the My MS Matters campaign.

  • Advocating for person-centred MS healthcare that reflects the individual needs and priorities of people with MS
  • Amplifying the voices and lived experiences of people with MS to influence healthcare, clinical practice and research
  • Highlighting global and national barriers to accessing quality MS diagnosis, treatment and support
  • Calling for more coordinated MS healthcare, with services working together to meet the needs of people with MS.
  • Campaigning for greater investment in MS healthcare, including stronger health systems and national neurology or brain health plans

World MS Day takes place every year on 30 May, with activities from April until June. World MS Day is coordinated by the MS International Federation (MSIF) and its members. In the run-up to World MS Day 2027 MSIF will release a brand-new campaign toolkit. You can subscribe to the World MS Day newsletter and follow us on social media (@WorldMSDay) for the latest campaign updates.

Stay tuned and join us on 30 May in global solidarity with everyone affected by MS.
