Create a poster for global MS research

The poster maker has been a key feature of World MS Day campaigns, giving supporters a creative way to show their support and raise awareness. Now, it’s also helping to build a better understanding of MS diagnosis experiences worldwide.
Transforming the poster maker to highlight diagnosis experiences
Last year, the poster maker was redesigned to help people with MS share key information about their diagnosis through engaging visuals.
By answering a few quick questions, users could generate a unique poster with their own photo and colour scheme. The poster’s visual layout was used to represent key moments along the diagnosis journey — from first symptoms to diagnosis barriers and challenges.
The response was incredible. More than 3,500 posters were created worldwide, making it the most popular poster maker yet.
Turning stories into global evidence
Alongside raising awareness, the posters also revealed valuable insights into the lived diagnosis experiences of people with MS. This year we are updating the poster maker, to gather more evidence about what it’s really like to be diagnosed with MS across the world.
Poster maker users can now choose to contribute their poster to global MS research. These posters will be anonymised and analysed to better understand MS diagnosis experiences worldwide, including the local and global challenges people face when seeking a diagnosis.
The findings will contribute to a global report on MS diagnosis by the MS International Federation, helping strengthen the evidence needed to improve diagnosis for people with MS everywhere.
Taking part in the research is completely optional and people can still create and share a poster without contributing their responses.

How you can support
This research will only succeed if people with MS around the world take part. MS organisations, healthcare professionals and supporters can help by sharing the poster maker with their communities. You can:
- Invite people with MS to participate in the research
- Promote the poster maker through your networks with these graphics [link]
- Share posters online to highlight real diagnosis experiences
- Print posters for World MS Day events or exhibitions
Together, this is an opportunity to generate global diagnosis evidence shaped directly by people with MS through World MS Day.
