2011 Employment
The Korean Multiple Sclerosis Society’s event on the 28th May was a resounding success with over 150 people attending. The event in Hangang Park “I walk for MS” was organised to raise awareness of World MS Day and was covered by the national media in the form of television and newspaper coverage.
Items such as scarves and stickers in the MS orange colour were handed out at the beginning of the day to all participants, who set out on the walk together at 2pm. The participants included people with MS, their family and friends, members of the public and health care providers.
I -Young Shin, who has had MS for 10 years, made a speech at the end of the day congratulating the walkers, whose total donations were matched by pharmaceutical company Merck Korea Ltd. KMSS looks forward to holding the event again next year.
