Taking on Toubkal – News from Belgium
2011 Employment
A group of people with MS from Belgium are taking on the challenge of climbing Toubkal Mountain in Morocco, the highest peak in North Africa. They will be at the heart of awareness raising activities in Belgium, according to the Belgium National MS Society, who hope that their efforts will capture both the attention of the public and the media. Through their impressive climb they are hoping to dispel the myth that a diagnosis of MS necessarily prevents people from taking part in challenges like this. The Belgium National MS Society are also raising awareness by holding an MS and Employment day and are expecting participation from polar explorer Alain Hubert.
