MS doesn’t stop me having the determination to succeed

Elham, 18, Egypt

My life changed a lot after being diagnosed with MS. I started to volunteer helping other people with MS, organising field trips and activities.

I started spending more and more time with a new group of people I met through volunteering. At 16 years old, I found my place. I realised I could give and be a part of something – it’s a new life. My life changed a lot, but I’m very happy.

It is important to have dreams. I’m in my last year of high school and will keep chasing my dreams. I imagine myself becoming a successful interior designer. When I think of something I want to do, I stay focused and determined until I succeed. I love interior design and arts so I’m going to work hard and be successful.

I stay positive because of my support system and the people around me. They give me hope. They’re the people in my life every day.
