Research and employment – WMSD in Yemen

On the 24th May in Yemen an event was held at the Faculty of Medicine at Aden University. The day was attended by officials, academics and members of the public, and a paper was presented on current MS Research.

A speech was given at the start of the ceremony, followed by an update on the progress of the MS Society over the past year. The World MS Day topic of Work and Employment was also covered, in particular emphasis was put on increasing employer’s understanding and how they can best assist their employees with MS.
In Adan mall, members of the society wore T Shirts with the world MS Day logo on and handed out brochures about MS to help raise awareness. The event was covered by the local media including several television channels.
