2011 Employment
Good news comes from Esclerosis Multiple Argentina (EMA), as World MS Day has been declared a day of National interest by the president of Argentina. They are celebrating this year with World MS Day events taking place over two days.

On the 26th there will be a breakfast and press conference, which all members of the association are welcome to attend. There will be lectures from various specialists, including Dr. Jorge Correale, a neurologist, who will be discussing MS, Dr. Maria Ines Bianco, who is a lawyer and who also has MS, who will be discussing the rights of patients in obtaining or retaining a job, and an introduction to the day presented by the CEO of EMA, Maria Jose Wuille-Bille. Patron of the society and journalist Maria Laura Santillan is also expected to attend.

The following day, Friday 27th, EMA will be joining with ALCEM in La Plata, Buenos Aires Province, for a morning of lectures open to the medical community and government. They are hoping to raise awareness of MS with particular focus on the World MS Day theme of work and employment.

Media coverage is also expected to make an impact, as on Sunday 21st the Viva supplement in national newspaper Clarin will be featuring a full-page article about World MS Day.
