Lift your voice for World MS Day. Now it\u2019s back with another star performance to be released on 30 May 2023. Choir members will sing <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/7rZyI7kPZMI\">\u2018Stand by me\u2019<\/a>, a classic by Ben E. King.  To celebrate our global diversity, we\u2019ll be singing some of the lines in different languages. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wysiwyg__content--skinny\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Want to take part? There is no cost to enter and anyone from the global MS community can take part. We will have our first rehearsal for everyone taking part in the choir on <strong>Tuesday 18 April<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wysiwyg__content--skinny\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After our first rehearsal, we will ask you to send us an audio recording of you singing the song by the end of the day on <strong>Monday 01 May.<\/strong> This is so that we can synchronise the sound of your voices. We will then have a final rehearsal on <strong>Thursday 11 May<\/strong> where we sing along to the soundtrack and record a video performance together to release on World MS Day. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wysiwyg__content--skinny\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our team will edit your video performances together to broadcast on <strong>World MS Day \u2013 30 May <strong>\u2013<\/strong><\/strong> via Facebook and YouTube. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wysiwyg__content--skinny\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note all choir rehearsals and communications will be in English.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wysiwyg__content--skinny\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key dates<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wysiwyg__content--skinny\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First rehearsal: <strong>Tuesday 18 April<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>12:00-13:00 (BST)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Audio Recording deadline: <strong>Monday 01 May 16:00 (BST)&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Final Rehearsal and performance recording: <strong>Thursday 11 May 13:00-14:00 (BST)&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Broadcast of choir performance: <strong>World MS Day 30 May 2023!<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wysiwyg__content--skinny\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can use this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeanddate.com\/worldclock\/meeting.html\">time zone conversion website<\/a> to help convert BST (London time) to your local time zone. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wysiwyg__content--skinny\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Choral Director<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wysiwyg__content--skinny\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.james-sills.com\">James Sills<\/a> is going to help us reach the high (and low!) notes this year. James is a musician, vocal facilitator and author who helps people feel good through singing. He is passionate about the holistic benefits of communal singing and uses it as a vehicle to foster community, connection and wellbeing. He is the founder of The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesofasingers.com\/\">Sofa Singers<\/a>, a virtual choir that brings hundreds of people together from across the world, for which James received a Points of Light Award from the UK government.
