These simple changes would help, a lot. But would an employer understand when symptoms get worse for a few weeks or months that these are not enough. Would they be angry and say “We made these changes/exceptions for you, yet you are missing work or are not as productive as we need you to be.” How do you get an employer to understand that these changes would help, but like stated before, we are all different and the severity of our symptoms and the progress of our disease would have to be taken into account as well.

@Paula J – you are so far from the truth. I was diagnosed in 2007 but it took 7 years to diagnose me. I was told by my dr that I couldn’t work. There are many different levels to MS.. There is the mild cases and the severe cases. So to lump everyone together saying only the ones that can work can tolerate it better is a slap in the face to those who cannot work. I wish I can work. I miss it. But my ms is severe. I have been on Rebif for 15 months and I was sick for that whole time. Then they changed me to Copaxone which I wasn’t sick but I would have a relapse that would last around 6 weeks. with a couple days break then right back into a relapse for weeks. This lasted a year and I couldn’t do it any more. So now i’m on the last resort med Tysabri for the past 19 months. I am now walking Praise the Lord but my pain and relapses are still there….

Sencilla y dice mucho. Lo que falta es que nos den trabajo a las personas con EM.

Die Filme wirken auf den ersten Blick simpel, sind aber eindrucksvoll.

People with MS who continue to be engaged in an activity/work seem to tolerate the MS disease, better than those who do not.
